What Will Happen If You Spray Your Bed With Alcohol?

The main use of alcohol, besides drinking is for disinfecting sticky substances.

You probably are not aware about the fact that alcohol has many more uses, like the one that it is used in the production of cosmetic products.

Here are some other purposes of alcohol:

1. Eliminate bed bugs

Bed insects are very difficult to kill. You can bring them home with you from vacation, or even after sleeping somewhere else where is not very clean. You can eliminate bugs if you rub alcohol. Spray alcohol on your pillow and mattress with a spray bottle, and repeat this couple of times to eliminate these disgusting bugs.

2. Clean nail polish

The usual removers for nail polish have strong chemicals in their content and can do harm to your nails. You can use alcohol instead of nail polish remover. It may take longer time to clean the nail polish but at least it is safe and will protect your nail from any damaging.

3. Cool pack

It is the well-known fact that alcohol doesn’t freeze. Because of that you can put alcohol to prepare a cooling pack. For this you will need alcohol and twice the amount of water, and put it the refrigerator into a sealed bag. After an hour in the fridge you can use it as an ice pack, or to cool something like your food if you are going somewhere.

4. Remove ingrown hairs

After shaving the sensitive area on the skin like armpits and bikini are, usually red dots appear on the skin. Rub some alcohol on the irritated area and it will heal and make the skin smoother.

5. DIY hand sanitizer

The perfect natural hand sanitizer is the rubbing alcohol. The needed ingredients are ½ tablespoon of isopropyl alcohol, 30ml of aloe vera gel and several drops of tea tree oil.

6. Instead of deodorant

In case you haven’t packed your deodorant, here is a solution for that. Use alcohol and apply on the armpits and it kills the bacteria which are the reason for bad odor. There is always alcohol in the first-aid kit if you do not have any. But be careful, using alcohol for the loner period of time can lead to irritation of the skin.

7. Eliminate lice

Alcohol is very helpful with eliminating lice. Use a couple of drops of lavender oil and rubbing alcohol. Spray this onto your hair and scalp, and after comb the hair in order to take out the killed lice.

8. Clean your skin

Benzoyl peroxide is a commonly used ingredient in acne creams and ointments. Alcohol can replace these types of creams due to its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. Alcohol can disinfect the pimples, stop appearance of acne and soothe the irritated skin. Apply some rubbing alcohol on the skin.

Using cotton swabs for the ears is not recommended because they actually do not take out the earwax and push it even more. Use alcohol and white vinegar then dip the cotton swab in it. Put it in the ear and the wax will remove itself.

10. Cold sores

It is very difficult to eliminate the herpes virus completely and even 85% of people have this virus and cannot get rid of it completely. Alcohol is going to help you with that problem, just put 70% isopropyl alcohol in the skin and it will heal the herpes sores.
