We all know that unprocessed, raw honey offers numerous health benefits, but now scientists have discovered a different kind of honey which has the power to eliminate every single kind of bacteria that comes in contact with, even the worst bacteria known until now.
The European Journal of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases published a study which may be the most important one so far, because most of the antibiotics are becoming powerless against bacteria, the ‘superbugs’ in particular.
It is the manuka honey, also called the jelly bush honey, and it origins from New Zealand. But in the past years there has been a lack of this honey which caused selling fake ones. So, due to this, the producers of manuka honey in New Zealand asked for their product to be trademark protected, just like the French champagne and the Scottish whiskey. Knowing this, it is not a surprise that the health benefits of this honey were not known until now.
Manuka Honey kills MRSA and other Superbugs
Manuka honey is made when the bees feed of the nectar of native trees in New Zealand and Australia, the manuka bush in New Zealand, and the nectar of Leptospermum Scoparium.
The Australian published a report in which said that the manuka honey eliminated all the bacteria that it came in contact with, during the previously mentioned studies. The manuka honey can be consumed internally or topically to treat all the skin infections, cuts and insect bites.
The most common problem with the other antibiotics is that the superbugs build up immunity and they cannot kill them, but this is not the same with manuka honey. None of the bugs could resist the fight.
Dr. Dee Carter of the University of Sydney’s School of Molecular and Microbial Biosciences stated that -- even the new antibiotics cannot do much, because the bacteria build up the resistance in a short time. And now the costs of recovering have become higher and a lot of the largest pharmaceutical companies have stopped the production of antibiotics. But on the other hand, a lot of lives can be saved by producing efficient alternatives.
Dr. Carter also says that the manuka honey contains a compound – methylglyoxal and it with the help of other not familiar compounds makes a ‘multi-system failure’, and that is why it is so efficient.
How can we find Manuka Honey
Manuka Honey can be found in many health stores and also online, but the manuka honey supply has decreased a lot and due to that there are also fake products sold. So always pay attention when you buy manuka honey, to find the UMF certified one. UMF is Unique Manuka Factor, and it is a property phytochemical made from the manuka bushes. You can find a lot of manuka products which are certified on Amazon.com.
Also, you can find on Amazon a product called Comvita manuka honey – also UMF certified and can cure MRSA:
Our friend had got MRSA and then we did a lot of online research, and soon after I got it also… says one user on Amazon. Luckily for me, with the research, I knew immediately how to proceed. The first time I saw a red bump, I though a mosquito had bitten me and I scratched it. But the next day I knew it was not a mosquito bite. So because we had some experience with MRSA through our friend who had it, we knew exactly what it was. We immediately got manuka honey and applied it on the affected skin put a bandaid on it. I felt relieved in just a few hours and it disappeared in a couple of days…
But the manuka honey has to be researched more, but until now it is known to kill every single bacteria and treat every health problem.
