This natural remedy was discovered by Doctor Richard Schultz. Due to its numerous health benefits, he named it “The Super-tonic.”

The recipe is actually a tincture, a natural medication made from plant extracts. Tinctures contain the healthiest ingredients of the plants in a highly-concentrated form. This means that tinctures are very strong and should be used in smaller dosages.

Even though tonic tinctures are usually made with alcohol, there is another much better solvent that can be used – apple cider vinegar (also known as Malic acid and ACV).

How to Prepare the Super-tonic

Doctor Schultz insists on using organic ingredients only in the preparation of his super-tonic. It is even better if you can grow them at home to be sure that they are clean and free of any contaminants and chemicals. That way, this remedy will give the best results.

Ingredients needed for the super-tonic:

Fresh habanero peppers (or any type of hot peppers; the hotter, the better)

  • 1 garlic head
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 medium ginger root
  • 1 medium horseradish root
  • unrefined apple cider vinegar

Method of preparation:

Peel and chop all the plants and place them in a large glass jar, then cover them completely in apple cider vinegar (the container should have about three fingers of ACV over the chopped plants). Cover it with a lid and shake well, so that all the ingredients are mixed.

Leave the mixture in a dark and dry place for two to six weeks. The longer the tonic stands, the more efficientr it will be. Don’t forget to shake it occasionally (at least twice a week).

Straining the mixture:

To strain the tonic, you will need:

  • Any kind of loose fabric, like gauze;
  • A large bowl;
  • A strainer (preferably made of stainless steel).

Place the strainer over the bowl and cover it with the cloth (gauze). Pour the contents of the glass jar carefully into the strainer. Press the ingredients on the sieve with a wooden spoon or a spatula to ensure that there is no juice left unstrained.

Place the strained tincture in a few smaller jars, or use the same big glass jar, washed and cleaned. You can use the remaining plants and veggies in soups and other dishes, or you can freeze them for future use.

The best choice for storage of the tincture is a dark glass bottle because it will protect it from damages caused by sunlight. Keep in a dark and cool place.

How to Use the Super-tonic

You can consume the tonic whenever you feel the need for it, but for best results, you should use it on a daily basis. It is not very tasty, so feel free to mix it with pure honey to neutralize its strong taste. Don’t forget to drink a lot of water throughout the day.

The standard dosage is one cup (20-30ml) a day. If you are suffering from a more serious infection, you can consume up to 6 cups daily.
