Citrus fruits and essential oil make a powerful mixture for repelling mosquitoes. Here is the recipe:

  • One lemon, sliced
  • 10 drops of citronella essential oil
  • 10 drops of lemon eucalyptus essential oil
  • One lime, sliced
  • Floating disc candles
  • 4 rosemary sprigs
  • 2 mason jars

Instruction:

Put the same amounts of lime and lemon slices in the jars and then add 2 rosemary springs. Pour water to fill ¾ of the jar and also put 10 drops of the 2 essential oils in the jars. Use separate oil for each jar and do not combine them together. Light the candle to activate them.

They are amazing also as a decoration and an efficient bug repellent for campfires, porches and backyards in the summer days.
